I have created a petition to do Land Acknowledgments and teach native history in schools. Please help this important cause by signing my petition at this link! http://chng.it/b4cYYG8r
Iit is so important that the children of this nation learn about the history of the Indigenous people whose land they are living on. So far, I am working with board members in my school district, city government, and senators to advocate for this cause. I am trying to get schools to put up posters in schools (see example on the right) that state whose tribal lands the school is built on. We are also working to say Land Acknowledgments before assemblies and teach curriculum that thoroughly addresses Native history.
I conducted an Indigenous Youth art contest in conjunction with several Native organizations and sponsored by Nakani Native Program. The purpose of the art contest was to raise awareness about Native art and encourage youth to connect with their culture.
I have started a podcast where I interview prominent Native storytellers, activists, and social workers. If you would like to be interviewed, you can contact me using the contact form on the home page and I would love to have a chat!
I am a current intern with the Nakani Native program, a nonprofit that does fabulous work within the Indigenous community. Check out their website here: https://nakani.org/
I volunteer for Urban Native Education Alliance, an organization that works with local Indigenous families and youth.
I work on the Database of Indigenous Slavery as a research intern to help connect modern day Tribal members with the history of their ancestors and also amplify stories of historic Native individuals.

I created this petition to do Land Acknowledgments in schools! This is very important because it is a quick yet effective way to recognize that we all live on Indigenous land and help educate students and staff about Indigenous history.

There are many ways that you can support the cause. We need people like you to fight for Indigenous rights and help correct the wrongdoings of the past while creating a better present and future.
